President of the Republic Chairperson of the African Union Condoles Chadian Counterpart

His Excellency the President of the Republic and Chairperson of the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent on Tuesday a cable of condolences to His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, President of the sisterly Republic of Chad, following the terrorist attack on his country yesterday.
The telegram reads as follows:
“Your Excellency and dear brother,
It is with great sadness and sadness that I received the news of the dastardly terrorist attack to which your country was subjected yesterday evening, Monday.
On this sad occasion, I extend to Your Excellency and to the brotherly Chadian people my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, on my own behalf, on behalf of the Mauritanian Government and people, and on behalf of the African Union.
I also assure you of the sympathy and solidarity of the Mauritanian Government and people with the sisterly Republic of Chad in this painful ordeal.
Please accept, Your Excellency and dear brother, the assurances of my highest consideration.
