Ministry of Health Receives US Medical Donation

The Ministry of health received, Wednesday in Nouakchott, a medical donation from International Counterpart Organization. This initiative is part of the “ the future belongs to us“, funded by the American government through its Department of agriculture (USDA).

On this occasion, Mr.Mohammed Moustapha Kane, officer in charge of duty at the Ministry of Health, thanked, on behalf of the Minister of Health, the Organization and the Ambassador of the United States to Mauritania.

On his part, the Representative of the Organization, Mr. Yameogo Rep, affirmed that this program intends to reinforce health conditions by distributing deworming products and improve knowledge on nature, water, sanitation, and hygiene.

At the end of his speech, he congratulated the government through the Ministry of Health for its daily efforts during this difficult period of Covid-19 pandemic. He stressed that the Organization and its partners will support the Ministry of Health in these campaigns of deworming and distributing of micronutrients in schools twice a year.
