Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal held a meeting, on Monday in Nouakchott, with the officials of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Children, and Family (MASEF).
This meeting aims at accelerating the pace of implementation of the program of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani set out in the Government’s General Policy Statement.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister insisted on the need to revitalize the administration, which must be a tool of good governance that enables to meet the needs of citizens.
Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal called for respect for laws, administrative procedures, teamwork, consultation, taking advantage of new technologies, capacity building and archiving.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Minister of Social Affairs made a statement in which she clarified that the Prime Minister’s visit is part of a series of visits he is paying to various ministerial departments. She said that during the meeting, the Prime Minister urged the ministry staff to be punctual, rigorous in work, and transparent.
He also recalled the important role played by the social affairs sector in the life of the citizen in general, and particularly in the life of the targeted social classes.
The Prime Minister inquired, during the meeting, about the progress of the implementation of the program of the President of the Republic and subsequently discussed with the executives of the ministry the challenges to meet and the possible solutions to propose.
