The candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, Mr. Hamadi Sidi Mokhtar Mohamed Abdi, presided over an election night in Nouadhibou last night, during which he met with his supporters and supporters.
During his speech, the candidate emphasized that he will work hard to change the difficult situation of citizens, especially women, explaining that Mauritanian women deserve more, and that they should be involved in all fields alongside their male counterparts, and contribute to playing the roles assigned to them.
He said that his electoral project will not exclude anyone, calling on all young people to seize the opportunity to achieve change towards a safe and stable country where Mauritanian citizens enjoy a dignified life, and where the youth have the rightful place they deserve.
He pointed out that the country is facing many challenges, noting that it is unbelievable that the city of Nouadhibou, the country’s economic capital, despite its economic potential, is still experiencing frequent power cuts, lack of water, and other necessary services.
He explained that his electoral project will fill all the gaps and give special attention to retirees, considering that this group has lived decades of marginalization and injustice, calling for the intensification of continuous sensitization and mobilization efforts to resolve the result in the first round on June 29.
He stressed that the Palestinian issue will also be the center of attention, as it is the first and core issue.
On Friday morning, candidate Hamadi Sidi Mokhtar Mohamed Abdi made a stop in the city of Chami, during which he met with his supporters and supporters, who lined the sides of the road, carrying banners and enlarged pictures of him, emphasizing their support and backing for him.
