Minister of Islamic Affairs Receives IOM Representative

The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Mr. Dah Ould Sidi Ould Amar Taleb, received, Monday in Nouakchott, the representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Mauritania, Mr. Boubacar Seybou.

The meeting, which falls within the framework of the existing cooperation relations between Mauritania and this international institution, focused on cooperation in the control and supervision of the Mahadras and the support for the National Unit To Fight Radicalization and Violent Extremism (CellRad).

The two parties assured that they will ensure that the Mauritanian Mahadras retain their moderate nature, in their capacity as a vector for the propagation of knowledge, from which come the ulama, who are home to disciples from all corners of the world.

The meeting was attended by the head of the National Unit To Fight Radicalization and Violent Extremism, Mr. Isselmou Ould Babah.
