Human Rights Commissioner Meets with OHCHR Representative

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Mohamed El Hacen Ould Boukhreiss, met, Tuesday in Nouakchott, with the representative of the office of the High Commission for human rights in Mauritania, Mr. Laurent Meillane.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the cooperative relations existing between Mauritania and this international human rights body, as well as the means to strengthen and develop them, in particular in the areas of intervention of the Commission.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr. Rassoul Ould El-Khal, and the Director of Human Rights, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikhna.
