On 9 April, Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal got the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, at the Prime Minister’s office in Nouakchott, as part of the second phase of immunization against the pandemic.
The first phase was exclusively devoted to medical personnel who are on the front line and at the forefront in the fight against the pandemic.
Several members of the government were also vaccinated.
Administered in two phases with an interval of two weeks, the vaccine provides complete immunity against the virus.
