Human Rights Commissioner Returns to Nouakchott

On 16 February, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, returned to Nouakchott from Geneva, where he participated in the meetings of the 75th session of the UN Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights.

During these meetings, the Commissioner presented Mauritania’s second periodic report on implementing the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights.
