Prime Minister Supervises the Launch of Work to Rehabilitate the Runway at Nouadhibou International Airport

On Tuesday 19 December in Nouadhibou, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud, in the name of His Excellency the President of the Republic, gave the signal to start the rehabilitation works of the Nouadhibou International Airport runway and its annexes, as part of the celebrations commemorating the 63rd anniversary of national independence.

The completion of the rehabilitation works costs approximately 4 billion and 600 million old ouguiyas, the implementation of which has been entrusted to ATTM Company, with the technical supervision being undertaken by the Betagep Studies Office.

The works include a runway with two parking extensions, 2,450 meters long, 100 meters at the ends, and 45 meters wide, with two paved edges 7.5 meters long on each side, while the dimensions of the taxiway are 25 meters by 40 metres, and the dimensions of the aircraft parking area are 95 meters by 110 metres.
