Mauritania Expresses Sincere Condolences to Yemen After Stampede Incident

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has expressed its sincere condolences to the sisterly Republic of Yemen – government and people alike – following the heavy losses that resulted from the stampede at Bab al-Yemen in the city of Sanaa.

This is according to a statement released on 20 April by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, which reads as follows:

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad learned with deep sadness the news of the heavy losses that resulted from the stampede at Bab al-Yemen in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.

On this painful occasion, the Ministry extends its most sincere condolences and expression of heartfelt sympathy to the sisterly Republic of Yemen, its government and its people, and implores Allah, the Almighty, to shower the martyrs with his great mercy and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.”
