On 27 February, in Nouakchott, Ms. Lalya Aly Kamara, the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development,  received the Ambassador of the United States of America to Mauritania, accompanied by a delegation from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) led by itsVice President, Ms. Alicia Philips Mandaville.

The talks focused on cooperation between Mauritania and this agency, particularly in the areas of intervention of the Ministry.

MCC is an independent American agency specializing in development aid, which works to fight poverty throughout the world. It provides grants to promote economic growth, reduce poverty, and strengthen institutions in recipient countries.
