On 9 February, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, left Nouakchott Geneva, Switzerland, to attend meetings of the 84th session of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), to be held from 6 to 24 February 2023.
During this trip, Mr. Ould Sidi will present to this session the fourth periodic report of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on the application of the provisions of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
