On 25 January, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, returned to Nouakchott from the Senegalese capital, Dakar, after participating in a summit on food sovereignty and resilience in Africa.
The President of the Republic was welcomed at the International Airport of Nouakchott, Oum-Tounsi, by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministers of Justice, Defense, Interior and Decentralization, the Chief of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Western Nouakchott, and the Vice-President of the Nouakchott region.
During this trip, His Excellency the President of the Republic was accompanied by a large delegation comprising:
- Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors,
- Yahya Ould Ahmed El Waqf, the Minister of Agriculture,
- Mohamed Ould Abdallahi Ould Ethmane, the Minister of Livestock,
- Fatimetou Mint Mahfoudh Ould Khattry, the Commissioner for Food Security,
- Mohamed Yahya Ould Teiss, the Ambassador of our country in Dakar,
- Ahmed Ould Bahinna, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic,
- Mohamed Lemine Ould Selmane, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic,
- Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Lematt, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic,
- El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
His Excellency the President of the Republic was also accompanied by a delegation of businessmen including:
- Mohamed Zein El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers (UNPM),
- Dia Adama, the President of the National Federation of Agriculture,
- Moustapha Ould Abdallahi, the President of the National Livestock Federation.
