President of Republic Arrives in Tichitt

On 19 January, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, arrived in Tichitt, wilaya of Tagant, at the start of a visit during which he will oversee the launch of the 11th edition of Heritage Cities Festival, held this year in the historic town of Tichitt.

Upon his arrival in Tichitt, His Excellency the President of the Republic was welcomed by Mr. Teyib Ould Mohamed Mahmoud, the Wali of Tagant, and Mr. Zeidane Ould Etfeil Ould Meihemid, the President of the Regional Council of Tagant. Before

that His Excellency shakes hands with Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament.

His Excellency the President of the Republic was also welcomed by Mr. Oumar Abdoulaye M’Bodj, the Hakem of the Moughataa of Tichitt, Mr. Hamahoullah Sidi M’Baye, the mayor of its municipality, Mr.

Bouya Ahmed Ould Chrif Ahmed,  the MP of its Moughataa, and Major General Abdallahi Mohamed Sidi Elemine, the Commander of the Fifth Military Region, as well as some military and security officials in the wilaya.

After that, the President of the Republic greeted the elected officials, notables, and executives of the wilaya of Tagant.

For their part, the inhabitants of the Moughataa of Tchitt gave a warm welcome to His Excellency the President of the Republic, waving the national colors and brandishing portraits and banners welcoming His Excellency.
