First Lady Oversees Launch of Young People, Women’s Conference “Peacemakers in Africa “

On 18 January, in Nouakchott, the First Lady, Mariem Mohamed Fadel Dah, supervised the launch of the activities of the conference of young people and women “Peacemakers in Africa”, within the framework ofactivities of the third edition of the African Conference for the Promotion of Peace, the work of which was kicked off by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

Representatives of African countries, a group of scholars, thinkers, researchers, and young continental leaders are participating in this conference.

In recognition of her efforts in the field of development and the promotion of peace, the First Lady received the shield of the third edition of the conference presented to her by Mr. Mahfoudh Ould Boye, the Secretary General of the Conference for the promotion of peace.
