Minister of Justice Receives UN Mission

On 14 December, in Nouakchott, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdallahi Ben Boye, received a UN mission responsible for supporting the electoral process, led by Mr. Simon Pierre Nany Talamiou.
The Minister briefed the UN mission on the legal and institutional framework governing elections in Mauritania and the independent bodies responsible for monitoring them. He also responded to the mission’s requests and questions relating to judicial control and the application of texts relating to the electoral process.
