Food Security Commissioner Returns to Nouakchott

On 18 November, Ms. Fatimetou Mint Khatry, the Commissioner for Food Security, returned to Nouakchott from Rome, where she represented Mauritania at the second ordinary session of the World Food Program (WFP) Board of Directors for the year 2022.
During her stay in Rome, Ms. Mint Khatry met with Mr. David Beasley, the WFP Executive Director, with whom she discussed cooperation between Mauritania and this UN organization and the means to develop and further strengthen it, particularly in the area of food security.
