Algeria: Foreign Minister Reaffirms the Mauritania’s Firm Position on the Palestinian Issue

Mr. Mohamed Salim Ould Merzough, the minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, participated on Saturday in Algeria in the thirty-first session of Arab Foreign Ministers in preparation for the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level.

 

In a speech on the occasion, H.E. the Minister stressed the importance of the topics on the agenda of this important session and congratulated the Government and people of Algeria on the approaching 68th anniversary of the outbreak of the Algerian National Liberation Revolution and the noble meanings it symbolizes, wishing this session success and success.

 

He also touched on our country’s firm position on the Palestinian issue, which is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital on the lines of the fourth of June 1967 in accordance with the Arab Initiative and the relevant international references.

 

The minister stressed the need to intensify efforts for the State of Palestine to become a full member of the United Nations, praising the important role of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in reconciliation between the Palestinian brothers.
