Human Rights Commissioner Meets With Delegation of UN Experts

On 30 August, in Nouakchott, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, met with a delegation from the UN Commission of Human Rights represented by Mr. Mahjoub El Haiba, and the representative of the Center for Civil and Political Rights in Geneva.
The meeting focused on Mauritania’s international commitments to human rights, especially civil and political rights, and the recommendations concerning our country in the context of the presentation of our periodic report on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
