President of Republic Congratulates Chinese Counterpart

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent the following congratulatory message to His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The message reads as follows:

“Excellency,

The celebration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China offers me the pleasant opportunity to express to Your Excellency my warm congratulations, wishing the friendly Chinese people further progress and prosperity.

I would like to reaffirm to Your Excellency our steadfast support for the One China principle, while highly appreciating the level reached by the relations of cooperation and friendship uniting our two countries, and renewing our determination to continue efforts to strengthen and develop them for the mutual benefit of our two friendly peoples.
