Foreign Minister Holds Talks with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, held talks on Thursday in New York with the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting addressed the strong bilateral relations between Mauritania and the United Arab Emirates, exploring ways to strengthen and develop them to open broader horizons for joint cooperation and serve the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.

The two ministers also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
