Foreign Minister Receives Haitian Counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, held talks yesterday, Tuesday, in New York with Haiti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Raina Forbin, on the sidelines of the proceedings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting addressed bilateral cooperation between Mauritania and Haiti and ways to strengthen and develop relations in a manner that serves the common interests of both countries. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues and topics of mutual interest.
