Defense Minister Returns to Nouakchott

The Minister of Defense, Pensioners, and Sons of Martyrs, Mr. Hanana Ould Sidi, returned to Nouakchott early Tuesday morning from Angola, after representing His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, at the Extraordinary Summit of the African Union, which took place in Luanda, the capital, on August 29 and 30, 2026

The summit discussed ways to strengthen mechanisms for conflict prevention and resolution on the African continent.
