Mauritanian Ambassador to Chile Presents Credentials

Mr. Ambassador Ahmed Mokhtar Bouceif presented his credentials to His Excellency José Antonio Kast, President of the Republic of Chile, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Republic of Chile, with residence in Brasília.

The ceremony took place last Wednesday at the Presidential Palace in Santiago. During a meeting with the Chilean President, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to President José Antonio Kast, along with his wishes for progress and prosperity for the Republic of Chile and its friendly people.

For his part, the Chilean President welcomed the Ambassador of Mauritania and expressed his best wishes for success in his diplomatic duties. He also reaffirmed Chile’s willingness to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in areas of common interest, in order to meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
