On July 29, H.E. Mr. El-Houssein Ould Naji, Mauritania’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Special Envoy of His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, delivered a written message from the President of the Republic to His Excellency Daniel Chapo, President of the Republic of Mozambique.
The message was delivered during an audience granted by the Mozambican President to the Mauritanian ambassador at the Presidential Palace in Maputo.
During the meeting, Ambassador Ould Naji conveyed President El Ghazouani’s greetings to his Mozambican counterpart, along with his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the Government and people of Mozambique. He also reaffirmed Mauritania’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and to expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both nations.
For his part, President Chapo praised the historic and fraternal ties between Mauritania and Mozambique. He recalled Mauritania’s support for the Mozambican people during their struggle for independence and expressed his country’s pride in these enduring historical relations. The Mozambican President also reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with Mauritania to further deepen bilateral cooperation in the shared interests of the two brotherly peoples.
