Minister of Mines and Industry Receives Egyptian Ambassador

The Minister of Mines and Industry, Mr. Edy Ould El Zeine, received today, Thursday, at his office in Nouakchott, the Egyptian Ambassador to Mauritania, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdelhamid Taya, accompanied by a delegation from the engineering consulting firm “ARCHPLAN Consulting,” led by Dr. Ayman Ashour.

The meeting addressed prospects for cooperation between the Ministry and the firm in the fields of engineering consulting and urban and industrial planning, particularly regarding the development of industrial and logistics zones and the preparation of plans and technical studies for development projects, in line with Mauritania’s industrial development priorities.

The Minister highlighted the promising opportunities that Mauritania offers in the field of manufacturing industries across various sectors, as well as the efforts being made to establish a sustainable industrial infrastructure capable of meeting the aspirations of Mauritania and its partners.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the Ministry’s openness to high-quality partnerships that contribute to the transfer of expertise and the leveraging of international experience, thereby supporting the government’s efforts to develop the industrial sector and enhance investment attractiveness.

The company’s delegation shared its expertise in implementing engineering and planning projects in a number of countries, expressing its interest in strengthening cooperation with Mauritania and contributing to the implementation of projects related to industrial development.
