Foreign Minister Discusses Cooperation with Several EU Ambassadors, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires

On Monday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, held a consultative meeting at his office in Nouakchott with several European ambassadors and the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy to reinforce international partnerships.
The high-level meeting brought together:
Mr. Florian Rendl, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany;
Mr. Emmanuel Bénis, Ambassador of the French Republic;
Mr. Pablo Barbara Gómez, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain;
Mr. Guy Harrison, Ambassador of the United Kingdom;
Ms. Paola Maria Cristina, Ambassador of the Italian Republic;
Corina R. Sanders, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy;
Ms. Agnès Blassel, Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Mauritania.
Discussions focused on advancing bilateral relations between Mauritania and the European Union, exploring avenues to elevate their current partnership to better serve mutual interests.
The participants also reviewed cooperative ties between Mauritania, the United States, and the respective European nations, exploring ways to broaden the scope of joint initiatives.
The session concluded with an exchange of views on regional and international matters of shared concern, highlighting a collective commitment to ongoing coordination and diplomatic dialogue.
