Minister of Equipment and Transportation Returns to Nouakchott

The Minister of Equipment and Transportation, Mr. Ely Ould El Veirik, returned to Nouakchott on Monday, from the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, after representing Mauritania at the 78th session of the Council of Ministers of the Agency for Air Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA).

During this session, the Agency’s Council of Ministers discussed a number of issues related to the development of air navigation services, the enhancement of civil aviation safety and security, and the adoption of decisions and recommendations aimed at improving the Agency’s performance to meet the requirements of the civil aviation sector in member states.

The Council reviewed the Agency’s technical, administrative, and financial reports and examined investment programs and future projects aimed at modernizing air navigation systems, strengthening technical and human capacities, and improving the quality of services provided.
