Republic President Congratulates Governor-General of Commonwealth of the Bahamas

Nouakchott, July 9, 2026 (WAMA) – His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent a congratulatory message today, Thursday, to Her Excellency Ms. Cynthia Pratt, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, on the occasion of her country’s National Day.

The text of the message reads as follows:

“Your Excellency,

On the occasion of your country’s National Day, I am pleased to extend to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations, wishing the friendly people of the Bahamas further progress and prosperity.

I also reaffirm our commitment to working closely with Your Excellency to strengthen and develop the cooperative relations between our two countries, in the mutual interest of our friendly peoples.
