Defense Minister Receives ICRC Delegation

On July 6 in Nouakchott, Mr. Hanana Ould Sidi, Minister of Defense, Retirees and Children of Martyrs’ Affairs, met with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), led by Mamadou Sow, Director for African Affairs at the ICRC in Geneva.

The meeting took place as part of the ICRC delegation’s visit to Mauritania, during which it will participate in the 50th General Assembly of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO), scheduled to be held in Nouakchott on July 7–8, 2026.
