Defence Minister delivers Message from President of Republic to Chadian President

His Excellency the Minister of Defence, Retirees’ Affairs and Children of Martyrs, Mr Hanen Ould Sidi, delivered a written message from His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to the President of the Republic of Chad, Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, during a private reception held this Tuesday morning in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena.

The letter addressed Mauritania’s candidacy for the post of Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and reaffirmed the two countries’ shared commitment to strengthening fraternal ties and cooperation, taking their existing partnership to new heights, and intensifying consultation and coordination on various regional and international issues.

Following the meeting, His Excellency the Minister stated in a press release that the President of the Republic of Chad had entrusted him with conveying his warmest regards and sincere wishes for continued success and guidance to his brother, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
