Foreign Affairs Minister Receives UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations

On May 9 in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations. Mr. Lacroix is currently visiting Mauritania.

The discussions focused on the various areas of cooperation between Mauritania and the United Nations, as well as ways to further develop and strengthen them. The two sides also reviewed several issues of mutual interest.
