Defense Minister Receives UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations

On May 9 in Nouakchott, Mr. Hanena Ould Sidi, Minister of Defense, Retirees and Children of Martyrs’ Affairs, received Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix,  UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations. Mr. Lacroix is currently on an official visit to Mauritania.

The discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between Mauritania and the United Nations, particularly in the areas of security and peacekeeping operations.
