Economic Affairs Minister holds Talks with IMF’s Director for Middle East and Central Asia

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr Abdallah Ould Souleiman Ould Cheikh Sidiya, held a meeting today, Monday, with the Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund, Mr Jihad Azour, on the sidelines of his participation in the World Bank’s Fragility 2026 Forum being held in Washington.

The meeting reviewed the course of existing cooperation between Mauritania and the International Monetary Fund, with the international official praising the country’s positive economic performance and strong macroeconomic indicators, alongside the ambitious reforms implemented over the past three years.
