President Launches “Expo Mauritania 2026”

On 23 April in Nouakchott, His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani officially opened the third edition of “Expo Mauritania 2026”, a major private sector fair highlighting Mauritania’s economic potential.

The annual event underscores the private sector’s central role in driving economic growth and social development. It provides a platform for business exchange, partnership-building, and innovation, while promoting productive investment and the optimal use of national resources in support of sustainable development.

Organized by the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, this year’s edition brings together dozens of companies, production groups, and industrial units across more than 212 stands, spanning all key sectors of the economy.

“Expo Mauritania 2026” reflects the dynamism of the country’s private sector and its growing contribution to economic progress, innovation, and value creation.
