Agriculture Minister Holds Talks with Algerian Counterpart

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mr. Mohamedou Ahmedou M’Haimid, held talks on Thursday evening at the Al-Mourabitoun Conference Palace in Nouakchott with the Algerian Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Mr. Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid, on the sidelines of the 34th session of the FAO Regional Conference for Africa, currently being held in Nouakchott.

The discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture and food sovereignty, and to leverage existing opportunities to develop a partnership capable of addressing the challenges related to food security in the region.
