President of Republic Holds Telephone Conversation With Emirati Counterpart

On 21 March, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of the Republic of Mauritania, held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

During the conversation, the President of the Republic extended his warmest congratulations and most sincere wishes to His Highness on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. He wished His Highness good health and well-being, as well as prosperity and continued progress for the people of the United Arab Emirates.

The conversation also reaffirmed Mauritania’s consistent support for the United Arab Emirates in light of recent developments in the Gulf region and confirmed Mauritania’s commitment to standing by its Emirati brothers in the face of current challenges.

The two leaders exchanged their views on regional developments, emphasising the importance of continuing dialogue, consultation and coordination to promote security, stability and the common interests of the two countries.
