President of Republic Holds Telephone Talks With King of Jordan

On March 3, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, President of the Republic, held a telephone conversation with His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The two sides reviewed current regional developments and exchanged views on them.

During the call, His Excellency the President of the Republic affirmed Mauritania’s commitment to the security and stability of Jordan. He expressed his continued solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of various challenges and stressed the importance of prioritizing dialogue and restraint to avoid further escalation in the region.

For his part, His Majesty the King welcomed these sincere fraternal sentiments, emphasizing the depth of the relations between the two countries and their common desire to continue coordination and consultation to strengthen security and stability and serve the interests of the two brotherly people.
