The Governor of Guidimagha, Mr. Dahman Ould Beirouk, on Monday in Selibabi, presided over the opening of a workshop for planning the activities of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Guidimagha State for the years 2026 and 2027.
The two-day workshop is attended by the governors of the state’s districts, the heads of its administrative centers, the mayors of its municipalities, and some heads of departments concerned with local development.
In his speech on the occasion, the governor emphasized that the main goal of the workshop is to launch a participatory development planning process aimed at promoting the rights of women and children through providing vulnerable groups access to basic services in the state over the next two years, in cooperation with development partners, praising UNICEF’s leading role in supporting local development.
