The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, paid a courtesy visit today, Sunday, to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Senegal, H.E. Mr. Ousmane Sonko.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence in Addis Ababa, where he is currently participating in the 39th African Union Summit.
The discussions provided an opportunity for both sides to reaffirm the strength of the brotherly relations between the two countries and their peoples. They also expressed a shared commitment to further strengthening and elevating these ties to higher levels, in line with the directives of the two Heads of State: His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and his brother and friend, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Senegal, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
