The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdullahi Souleimane Cheikh Sidia, held, Sunday, at the ministry’s headquarters in Nouakchott, an extensive discussion session with a high-level delegation from the Saudi Shura Council, headed by Dr. Fahd bin Souleimane Al Takhifi, and in the presence of the Mauritanian-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group, chaired by MP Hamdi Ould Hamadi.
During the meeting, the Minister praised the level of historical relations between the two brotherly countries, reviewing the achievements of fruitful economic cooperation.
He also commended the pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the development process in Mauritania, particularly through its effective contributions and financing of major structural projects launched by His Excellency the President, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
For his part, the Saudi delegation expressed pride in the strength of the bilateral partnership, affirming the Kingdom’s keenness to continue coordination and cooperation in ways that serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples and advance development efforts and economic integration to broader horizons.
