President of Republic Arrives in Kaedi

On 8 February, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, arrived in Kaedi at the start of an official visit to the wilaya of Gorgol.

The President of the Republic was welcomed at the aircraft gangway at Kaedi airport by Mr. Mohamed El Mokhtar Ould Abdi, Wali of Gorgol, Colonel Ammar Ahmedou Hananna, Commander of the Seventh Military Region, Mr. Sidna Ould Zein El Abidine, Hakem of the moughataa of Kaedi, the mayor of the municipality of Kaedi, and the MPs of the moughataa, before His Excellency reviewed the armed forces units that paid him honors.

Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani then shook hands with the elected officials, executives, and dignitaries of the wilaya, who had lined up to greet him.

During this visit, which will cover all the moughataas of the wilaya, His Excellency, the President of the Republic, will learn about the situation of citizens, listen to their concerns and aspirations, and the progress of development and basic services in the wilaya.
