Strengthening bilateral cooperation tops talks between Mauritanian Minister of Islamic Affairs and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah

The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Mr. El Vadil Ould Sidati Ould Ahmed Louly, held a meeting on Monday in the ministry’s conference room with the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, who is currently visiting our country, within the framework of strengthening fraternal cooperation relations between Mauritania and Saudi Arabia, especially in the fields of Islamic affairs and serving the guests of Rahman.
During the meeting, the Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah and his accompanying delegation, expressing his great pleasure at this visit, which he said reflects the depth of the strong historical relations between the two brotherly countries, based on religious unity, sincere fraternal ties and close cooperation in various fields.
The Minister added that today’s visit by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah comes within the context of the strong relations between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the wise leadership of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, emphasising that these relations are deeply rooted in religion, culture and conscience, and reflect the sincere and strong bond between the two brotherly peoples.
In this context, he expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, for the care, attention and distinguished facilities enjoyed by the Mauritanian community in general, and the pilgrims of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in particular, which have been and continue to be widely appreciated and a source of constant pride, praising the level of cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
For his part, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, expressed his pride in the strong fraternal relations between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are based on religious unity and deep historical ties.
He affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s keenness to continue strengthening cooperation and coordination with Mauritania, especially in the field of Hajj and Umrah, praising the level of coordination between the two sides and the recent positive developments that serve the interests of pilgrims and Umrah performers.
He also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality he has received since his arrival in the country.
