The Minister of Economic Affairs meets with the Chair of the United Nations Peacebuilding Committee

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdullahi Souleymane Sheikh Sidia, held a meeting yesterday, Thursday, in New York with His Excellency Ambassador Riklef Bettin, the Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations and Chair of the Peacebuilding Committee.
The meeting was dedicated to consultations and meticulous technical preparations for presenting Mauritania’s national strategy before the UN Peacebuilding Committee, in a way that enhances the country’s position as a reliable partner in peace and development efforts.
The two sides also discussed ways to develop cooperation between Mauritania and the Peacebuilding Committee, as well as opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations between our country and Germany, expressing appreciation to Germany for its continuous support of our country’s developmental efforts.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Permanent Representative of Mauritania to the United Nations, Mr. Sidi Ould Mohamed Laghdhaf.
