The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development: The Water Sector in Mauritania is a Top Priority for the Fund’s Interventions

The Chairman of the Board of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development,(AFESD), H.E, Mr. Fawzi Youssef Alhunaif, expressed his pleasure in participating in the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to supply the city of Kiffa and a number of neighboring towns and villages with potable water. He highlighted the outstanding level of partnership between Mauritania and the Fund and emphasized that the water sector in Mauritania is a top priority for the Fund’s interventions.
He reviewed the Fund’s contribution to financing various development programs across different regions of the country, noting that the Kiffa water supply project is one of the most important implemented projects and represents a pioneering model of Arab partnership, benefiting 92 towns and villages, which will enhance economic and social development.
