Bengou, December 14, 2025 (KNA) – Director of the Office of the Governor of the EHodh Charghi, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould Mohamed Abdallah, accompanied by the Governor of the Néma District, Mr. Blah Ould Sidi Mohamed, and the Director of the Mauritanian Dairy Products Company, Mr. Ly Mamadou, inaugurated yesterday evening, Saturday, in Benkou, a milk collection center with a storage capacity of ten tons.
This center is characterized by its operational independence, as it is equipped with a system that allows milk to be preserved in suitable conditions that comply with the required technical regulations and standards.
The opening of the new center represents another step added to previous ones on the path of dairy production, reflecting the approach of the country’s senior authorities aimed at involving all livestock farmers in the ongoing transformation of dairy production in the region.
The General Manager of the Mauritanian Dairy Products Company emphasized in his speech on the occasion the importance of opening the milk collection center in Bengo, noting that it adds to the other centers, which constitute an important stage in the production process.
He added that the opening of dairy collection centers comes as part of the company’s efforts to bring the service closer to citizens and to create suitable conditions to make the region an active hub in the field of dairy and its products.
He explained that supporting the livestock owners will enable better utilization of milk in the Hodh charghu and make better use of it.
