Minister of Health heads to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Roundtable on promoting Investment in the Health Sector

The Minister of health Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Ely Mahmoud, left Nouakchott this morning, Sunday, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in a high-level roundtable on promoting investment in the global health sector through Islamic finance instruments.
This international meeting is organized by the World Health Organization, in cooperation with the Islamic Center for Trade Development and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, with the aim of exploring ways to expand the use of Islamic finance mechanisms to support primary healthcare, enhance universal health coverage, and accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The meeting will bring together ministers and senior officials in health and finance, alongside development partners and investment institutions, to discuss ways to mobilize capital, exchange national experiences, and build practical partnerships that contribute to the development of health financing systems, especially in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and African nations.
