Prime Minister chairs the Meeting of the Ministerial Committee Responsible for Classifying Institutions

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, chaired this evening, Wednesday, at the Prime Ministry, a meeting of the ministerial committee responsible for the classification of institutions.
The meeting was dedicated to evaluating the institution classification process after more than a year since the process began. The discussions highlighted the importance of the achieved results and the need to introduce some improvements to make it more effective, with the aim of accelerating the pace of its procedures and ensuring the accuracy of the information on which the classification process is based.
In this context, the Prime Minister affirmed that this evaluation falls within the framework of the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, aimed at developing the public procurement system on one hand, and organizing and modernizing the institutions operating in the field of these procurements on the other, consolidating the principles of transparency, justice, and fair competition, and improving the business climate to serve national development and enhance the confidence of economic actors.
The Prime Minister also instructed the technical committee to draft proposals and improvements in a way that considers increasing digitalization and ensures efficiency and rigor in the implementation of the law.
