Minister of Defense Participates in Senegalese Riflemen Massacre Commemoration

On 1 December, in Dakar Mr. Hanena Ould Sidi, Minister of Defense, Retirees, and Children of Martyrs’ Affairs, representing His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, participated in the ceremonies commemorating the 81st anniversary of the massacre of Senegalese riflemen, held at the “Thiaroye” camp site in the suburbs of the Senegalese capital, Dakar.

The ceremonies were attended by His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of Senegal; His Excellency Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia; and the Vice President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, as well as high-level delegations from several African countries and France.
