President of Republic Lays Foundation Stone for Taazour Lakes Development Project

On 1 December, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, laid the foundation stone for the development project for the Taazour lakes in Tevragh Zeina and Tarhil in Riyadh, as part of the activities commemorating the 65th anniversary of National Independence Day.

This project aims to transform the two lakes into modern tourist resorts that meet the requirements for entertainment, rest, and recreation, thereby improving the quality of life in Nouakchott.

The project should also bring about a major change to the urban landscape of the capital Nouakchott, and constitute a milestone in its modernization process, in accordance with the guidelines that the government is implementing with diligence and rigor.
